Here are the planned start dates and times for each major parade in Uptown New Orleans as updated through the City of New Orleans (NOLA.gov). Southeast Louisiana weather is always a factor, and times may be shifted to accommodate. Mardi Gras runs non-stop beginning the Wednesday before the actual holiday. This means non-stop assignments for our New Orleans Police Department Officers, Deputies, Troopers, and Agents along the parade routes. Be sure to meet the Officers posted near you and show your support through the Adopt-A-Cop Support Initiative.
Remember to review safety tips with family members and pack your patience. Expect road closures and traffic delays during the event in the West Riverside, Uptown, Touro, Milan, Garden District, Central City, Lower Garden District, Central Business District, and French Quarter neighborhoods. As always, please take care in large crowds and report suspicious activity to public safety officials.
