During the Stake Out for Justice luncheon on October 15, 2024, the New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation recognized a special group – the Champions of Public Safety. Thanks to the incredible role they have played in making our community safer, we honored these individuals during our only annual fundraiser. As the most prestigious event in local law enforcement, the Stake Out was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel. Nominations for the honor were submitted to team members and then selected by our committee based on impact to the community. The goal of this list was to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions and demonstrated unwavering commitment to law enforcement in New Orleans. Overall impact was prioritized and many nominees asked to remain anonymous.
Selection Process: Nominations from the business community were chosen based on impact with some exclusions – current law enforcement, media, clergy, City officials, and NOPJF board members.
Their invaluable support for public safety initiatives has enabled local law enforcement to make the city a safer place to live, work, and visit. The world is now taking notice, and this dedication serves as an inspiration to all who strive for a brighter future for New Orleans. We are deeply grateful for their dedication to creating a safer and more just community in our city.
