Adopt-A-Cop

Twelfth Night, also known as the Feast of the Epiphany, signals the official start of Carnival season and the first parades of the year. Through your symbolic adoption of an officer, the New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation ensures our Krewe in Blue, visiting law enforcement, and other first responders are nourished and operating at their best for your safety throughout Mardi Gras and beyond!

When it comes to Mardi Gras, each New Orleans Police Department Officer gears up for 12+ hour days of patrolling the streets in cars, on foot, and on horseback. They diligently shepherd floats through traffic and obstacles, stationary parade route assignments, and the nightly French Quarter afterparty so that everyone enjoys the Mardi Gras revelry.

Show our Krewe in Blue how much you appreciate all that they do to help New Orleans maintain its reputation as one of the most fun and authentic cities in America with a hat tip, a heartfelt “thanks,” or a donation to the Adopt-A-Cop initiative! Look for NOPJF walking the parade route to personally thank every officer for their service and sacrifice during Mardi Gras and throughout the year.

There would be no Purple, Green, and Gold without the Blue!
