During the first big weekend of Mardi Gras 2024, officers informed us they helped an incredible number of lost children separated from their families. Please share this graphic with your local and out-of-town guests. With all the spectacle of Carnival, it’s easy for little ones to get distracted and drift from their guardians. It’s not a reflection on anyone, it just happens. However, a little prevention goes a long way.
You can show your support for officers with a symbolic adoption of an officer through the Adopt-A-Cop Support Initiative. Your New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation personnel walk the routes during parades to ensure all officers stay at full capacity for your safety throughout the Mardi Gras events and beyond!
